Support services teams provide medical and psychological care for individuals with special needs

“Within our department we provide behavioral services and psychological services that are specific to the needs that may emerge from that (ID and DD) group, and those would be needs for behavioral supports and interventions that help an individual become as independent and autonomous as possible in their communities with all the skills and necessary adaptations …”

Dr. Eliza Belle, director of Psychological and Behavioral Services with the Alabama Department of Mental Health, joins Alabama Care anchor Alex Bimes to discuss the behavioral and psychological services available to Alabamians with intellectual and developmental disabilities through ADMH.
