Lima Foxtrot

Lima Foxtrot provides service members with disabilities with a means to pursue an active, healthy lifestyle

It’s just a beautiful demonstration, I think, of our community’s real desire to support our military … because there were such large numbers, we really felt that we as an organization can and should do more.’

“I’ve seen how adapted sports are really helping military personnel that are injured to stay physically active … but also there’s another component to it which is the social aspect of it that allows military personnel to engage with people that really understand where they’re coming from, who they are, what they have experienced.”

Alabama Care Anchor Alex Bimes is joined by Jen Allred and Alex Martinez as they discuss Lakeshore Foundation’s Lima Foxtrot Injured Military Programs, which began in 2006 as a response to the significant number of men and women returning from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom with injuries.
