Businesses shift focus to more neuro-inclusive recruiting
“Brain diversity (is) the viewpoint that brain differences are normal rather than deficits, and there’s like no right type of brain or a best type of brain. … Neuro-inclusive recruiting … is to normalize brain diversity to reduce stigma about thinking differences.”
As autism has become more prevalent in the U.S., employers have had to adjust their approach to hiring and the work environment. Anna Taylor, business relations specialist with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services, talks with AC Lead Anchor Alex Bimes about the impact this increase in “neuro-divergent” workers has had on how employers conduct business.
