Home visiting program offers tools, support that parents need for success
“We really want to come alongside the parent and caregiver. We want to give them the tools that they need to parent well to support their child. We want to really help facilitate parent-child interaction and engagement. … We want to give you (as the parent) time and materials and supplies and ideas of how you can engage with your child, how you can notice the different child development milestones, and how you can continue to push them forward in their development.”
United Ability staffers Leeann Haines and Robin Parkes join AC to talk about the First Teacher Home Visiting Program, which offers training and support for parents in such areas as parent-child interaction, parenting skills, and child development.
